Vocalist - Baritone
About

Lee Gregory is a gifted singing actor with a beautiful, warm, and ringing baritone voice. He has a wide and varied repertoire, and is quickly becoming known for his ability to embody his characters. The Nashville Scene acclaimed his Mercutio as “performed with a resonant baritone that readily captured his character’s arrogance and swagger,” and Opera News praised his Mercutio as “… nearly ideal. He is tall and has a sizable voice that nimbly limned the Mab aria, justly applauded. His physicality captured Shakespeare’s jokester quite well.” In 2013-14 he sang the Captain in Adams’ The Death of Klinghoffer in a return to Long Beach Opera. His 2014-15 credits include The Rehearsal Director in Bryar’s Marilyn Forever in its world premiere with Long Beach Opera.

“Lee Gregory, memorable as the Captain in LBO’s ‘The Death of Klinghoffer,’ excels here as multiple aspects of Marilyn’s male counterparts. By turns a rehearsal director who may or may not be Billy Wilder and husbands Joe DiMaggio and Arthur Miller, Gregory sings with firm, beautiful tone and acts with utmost conviction.”
