Possessed of a voice the New York Times calls “clarion-toned”, he continues to appear in leading roles at opera houses across North America and Europe. He is featured in the Academy Award-nominated film “Lincoln” as Gounod’s Faust.

Austrian Composer Johanna Doderer's fourth opera Der Leuchtende Fluss (A Kind Of Yellow) was released by Quinton Records on May 13, 2011. The recording took place during the premier performance of the work at Theater Erfurt in October 2010. John Bellemer performs the role of Ira Hayes.
